Here are some more specs and hands-on pics of the Sony DCR-SR100 Handycam, Sony's first hard drive camcorder we saw earlier tonight at Sony's press preview. The camcorder's got a 3.0 megapixel imager and 30GB of drive space. The unit records in 5.1 channel Dolby Surround Sound, with the optional ECM-HW1 Bluetooth mic to cover the center channel (pictured below). It also shoots 3 megapixel stills and sports PictBridge compatibility. Viewing duties are handled by its 2.7-inch TFT LCD, and they're keeping us in the dark on price and release date because they love to torture us like that.
