Interpreting Hunt the Wumpus, experimental music style
While attending UMass Dartmouth during the early 1970s, Gregroy Yob wrote (in BASIC) Hunt the Wumpus, one of the earliest computer adventure games. Now,
Wesleyan University's David Jensenius has composed an experimental music score inspired by this classic computer game.
Capturing the Wumpus calls for performers to hunt the Wumpus through predetermined (by a computer) moves.
Watch The Flux Quartet perform the piece here.
