Extreme Population Control

The problems over at the Medivh server, as reported yesterday, have apparently become even more pronounced,
with Blizzard announcing that they are now restricting all new level 1 characters from the server, to avoid the overcrowding resulting from players logging on & creating an alt, just to view the opening of the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj.

The official announcement seems to have been pulled from the forums in the wake of much flaming from players, but all the resulting venom can be found on the thread located here.
