360 Dashboard update "imminent"

HardOCP has received MS
confirmation that an update to the Xbox 360 dashboard is imminent, noting that it was supposed to "head to production" on Friday, "but a few minor issues pushed the target date back to Monday"–which, of course,
is today.

If the original Xboxic source is to be believed, this update "will contain fixes for all currently known lockups in games, missing or impossible to get achievements and a bunch of new functionality in the Dashboard" (possibly including support for a 360 camera).

If a
Call of Duty 2 patch hits tomorrow as well, Xbox owners could potentially have quite a few downloads ready and waiting for them as they sit down to play this week. Getting through games without having to cheat or exploit glitches would be a nice change of pace.
