TTP working on $20 cellphone for developing world

UK-based developer TTP has released a reference design for a $20 cellphone to be sold in the developing world. The design is based on a low-cost version of TTP's application suite, protocol software and baseband chipset engine. It's unclear at this point whether the company has lined up any manufacturers or carriers to support the design. Other companies, including Motorola, Philips and Microsoft have previously expressed interest in developing similar products.
