Super 3G to bring 100Mbps to the air in 2009?
It almost feels wrong for us to be dreaming about crazy 100Mbps speeds and 20ms latencies when there are so very many who've yet to even see an EDGE connection (we like to call them Americans), but we just couldn't pass up a chance to drool on some new Super 3g specs, now officially known as 3G LTE (Long-Term Evolution), which seems all set to bust on WiMax and company in 2009. The details are still sparse, but we have heard in the past that the proposed standard would include 1000Mbps fixed speeds on top of the already hawt 100Mbps mobile speeds, amounting to one beautiful 4G standard, while still occupying the same spectrum as HSDPA. We say bring it on. (What else would we say?)
