Activision hands out 150 pink slips

On the eve of St. Valentine's Day, in a move Activision deemed to be a "strategic, targeted reduction," the publisher fired roughly 150 employees.
That's cold.

Activision currently employs a staff of about 2,000. Yesterday's decision to reduce the workforce by nearly 7% comes during a transitional—as the industry moves into the next-gen—fiscal year,
marked by low hardware and software sales.
