China tightens grip on Internet usage
In their latest move to protect the nation's youth, the Chinese government has passed new legislation that will prohibit teens from entering Internet cafes and karaoke bars. These establishments are also restricted from advertising electronic games that threaten national security, or present negative connotations of China or other countries. In a similar move three years ago, Chinese officials closed 3,000 cyber cafes during their "national safety campaign". And we think we have it bad with the ESRB and age verification.
