Phasing out the original DS

Will Nintendo phase out the original DS once the newly announced DS Lite hits retail? It was rumored that Reggie Fils-Aime confirmed this in his recent GameHead interview in which he was also the barer of bad news revealing that Zelda: Twilight Princess has been delayed yet again until fall of this year. Double whammy for gamers with big hands and a desire to play Zelda sometime during the immediate 2006 calendar year.
