New BioShock screens revealed

Tiscali Games has the first screenshots of 2K's and Irrational's upcoming sci-fi shooter BioShock. These Xbox 360 renderings are taken from the March issue of Game Informer, which should be on newsstands now.

A spiritual successor to the
System Shock series, BioShock uses the Unreal-inspired Vengeance engine and takes place in an abandoned WWII lab filled with once-human creatures. Unlike Doom, however, you won't want to blast everything in site. Instead, you'll have to figure out the creature caste system and the plasmid power-ups that give you an advantage over the genetically enhanced populous.

Check out GameSpot's first look or pick up the new Game Informer for more details.
