EA slashes prices on current gen titles

In a move similar to their recent holiday sale, Electronic Arts is discounting major titles in their library by 20%. Last month, the publishing giant cut the price of Need for Speed:
Most Wanted to $39.95, and new titles Black, The Godfather, and Fight Night Round 3
will debut with the same price tag.

The move comes amidst fears of a "between generations" lull in game sales as consumers decide which generation to invest in over the next few months. A spokesperson for EA said,
"$39 is resonating with consumers given the transition." $19.99 would resonate even better with me.
