Globalsat intros GH-601/GH-602 GPS wristwatch
Globalsat has just introduced the Globalsat GH-601/602, a fully-sealed, waterproof wrist-watch with GPS intended for use with outdoors-sports like jogging, biking and skiing. The watch is powered by the SiRFStar III high performance GPS chipset, which should allow for position fixing even with a weak signal status. The GH-602 adds an electronic compass and barometric altimeter. Both models can also be used as a GPS receiver with its USB inteface and pack a built-in rechargeable high capacity lithium-ion battery which Globalsat says'll give you 16 hours of use with the GPS on and compass and altimeter turned off or 70 hours with all three turned off. And if day glow green isn't your color, you can also choose from equally sporty red or yellow watches.
