Spotlight on Murlocs?

Personally, I find those little gurgling guys to be some of the most annoying monsters in the game, so I'm more than a little curious as to why Blizzard has chosen to spotlight the culture of everyone's favorite stew ingredient in their feature Murlocs Revealed!

The reason this makes me wonder is that there have been rumbles about Murlocs being added as the new playable race for the upcoming expansion; maybe the devs are trying to put a friendlier face on our (former?) fishy foes. Me, I'm a Furblog man,
m'self...their battle cry is far less annoying.
