San Jose Museum of Art offers cellphone tours

The San Jose Museum of Art is currently offering guided tours via cellphone for its current exhibit "Visual Politics: The Art of Engagement"–apparently the first time a museum in the US has done so, and possibly the first for a museum anywhere. To access the tour, visitors (or anyone, if you're so inclined) just have to dial (408) 795-2165 to hear object-by-object explanations along with "pertinent musical interludes." The museum also offers a podcast of the tour, which other museums have done already, although the San Jose museum steps it up by lending visitors an iPod when they enter.
