2K to publish Top Cow's The Darkness

Image/Top Cow comic book fans will have one more reason to want a 360 or PS3. 2K has announced they will publish a next gen shooter based on The Darkness property, partnering with Enclave developer Starbreeze.

I used to love this comic, especially in its early days when Preacher and Punisher scribe Garth Ennis and X-Men artist Marc Silvestri were at the helm. There are a lot of good story elements to explore here: main character Jackie Estacado's life as a mafia hitman, his inability to have sex once he gains his powers, the darklings!

Not sure how this will work as a shooter. This is a cool looking character with a very animated costume (sort of like Spawn), so I
had envisioned more of a third person perspective. Hopefully, we'll get some screen shots soon. Now how about a Witchblade game?
