Why graphics matter

Talking about game graphics seems so passe. Without some form of them though, we wouldn't see anything on the screen. To that, The Escapist tries to answer the age-old question on why graphics matter. From the article: "Great graphics grab your attention... Of course, truly great games require more than great graphics, and to put it rather crudely, a polished turd still smells pretty bad, but looking good never hurts.
