Hitachi HMP-F3, HMP-D3, HMP-S3 audio players

Hitachi isn't exactly a leading brand when it comes to digital audio players (the company's first model, the HMP-1 came out last year to a resounding thud),
but that hasn't stopped the company from doing its best to compete in the crowded market. However, if the new HMP-F3,
HMP-D3 and HMP-S3 models really are Hitachi's best efforts, we can't imagine that the company's going to make much of an impression. There's really nothing groundbreaking about any of these models; the F3 and D3 are 512MB flash models,
while the S3 is SD-based. All three support MP3, WAV, WMA and PlaysForSure, but only the F3 has a line in. The designs
– a rectangular pendant, teardrop and rectangle, are also pretty derivative of other established models. We can only assume that Hitachi must have a stockpile of flash memory lying around, and decided producing these players would be a way to unload it; otherwise, we don't see any real reason for the company to launch these players, which will end up squeezed between you-know-who on one side and cheaper me-too models on the other.
