Author reveals Xbox chronology

"Opening the Xbox" author and Mercury News blogger Dean Takahashi is currently finishing up a new book on the Xbox 360, and he'll be offering us a weekly glimpse at his research over the next month. The chain of events that led to Microsoft's entry into the console wars is quite comprehensive, and stretches back longer than you might think. "The Xbox 360 Uncloaked" will be available on May 9.
