Apple, others, form Digital Data Exchange

Apple along with 10 other organizations (including Sony and Microsoft) have formed the Digital Data Exchange. What the heck is the DDEX? It is a group that has been formed with the goal of coming up with some standards for the distribution of digital content, starting with music.

If you want your voice to be heard you can join the DDEX for a paltry $25,000 annual membership fee.
