Sony Ericsson announces M608c for China

Sony Ericsson announced the M608c today, a 2.5G version of the M600 smartphone for China. Like the M600, the M608c has a 2.6-inch, QVGA (320 x 240 pixel) display, 80MB of internal memory, Bluetooth, a Memory Stick Micro card slot, and is based on Symbian OS 9.1 and UIQ 3.0. This model also adds Chinese character handwriting recognition on the touchscreen. A range of push email apps are also promised for the device, including BlackBerry Connect and Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync. The handset comes pre-loaded with Opera 8, PowerPoint, Word and Excel editors, and an Adobe PDF viewer, with additional apps available for purchase from the Sony Ericsson Application Shop.
