HD DVDs released on June 6th 2006

HD DVD has a strong release week to follow last weeks disappointment; the first week without a new title. HD DVD evangelists can rejoice because they are getting their first day-and-date release with the DVD version. Harrison Ford's Firewall is the first movie to be released on DVD and HD DVD on the same day. Warner teamed it up with two other good movies; Constantine and The Perfect Storm, neither are The Matrix.

With only 3 weeks left till the first Blu-ray player goes on sale, the HD DVD totals are now Warner 13 Vs. Universal 10 and Paramount is still at zero and holding until they re-announce their titles that were recently pulled.
