Consumer Reports gets first look at new Sony Bravias

Sony wasted no time getting some of their new Bravia's out to the review houses. Consumer Reports responded in kind with a First Look at the S2000 and U100M series. They liked the S2000 and considered it a decent value. Sure, it has some downfalls like poor black levels and only one HDMI port, but overall a decent set. Consumers Reports didn't feel the same way about the U100M however. This series do not include any (NTSC or ATSC) type of tuner and they are only $200 less then the S2000 series. That's cool if you want to use it as a computer monitor but as a TV, there are a lot of better options out there.

We are waiting for reviews of the new XBR lines though. If you see any, drop us a tip.
