No, it's not an incurable disease, it means you just have to have the latest gadgets! According to a paper published in Psychiatric Genetics, scientists say certain people with a cellular enzyme known as monoamine oxidase A have a genetic need for new stuff. There is even a term for it -- neophilia -- that you should memorize in case you're in need of a convenient excuse as to why you just threw down $700 for that PlayStation3 bundle when you haven't finished paying off the $3500 Toshiba HD-DVD recorder you got a few months back. You know, maybe there is something to our post about HDTV being equal to heroin!
