Designed in California: Apple product database

Designed in California is a new website, in beta, that hopes to become the go to place for information about Apple hardware. I know what you're saying, there are lots of places to get information about Apple hardware, why should I go to Designed in California? Well, they are focusing only on hardware that has been released since Steve Jobs announced Apple's new direction in November 10, 1997. If this still sounds silly check out some examples of what you can do with the site.

This subset of Mac info is mostly what people are writing about now, but I can't help but think that this limited scope might hurt Designed in California in the long run.
