Universal Studio's 'Slither' coming to HD DVD in October

Remember Slither? It was that horror flick released back in April that looked really stupid from the previews but turned out to be a quality flick. Well if you missed it the first time around, Universal is giving you a second chance but this time it is in high-def via HD DVD. The film is set to come on a hybrid HD DVD/DVD on October 24. It is of course going to be encoded in 1080p and also set in 2.53:1 widescreen. The disc is going to retail at $39.95 'cause of the hybrid thing. But it is a good investment, you know. You can enjoy it now on your current DVD player and then when you get a HD DVD unit, it will work in there too.
