Konami producer reveals more Silent Hill Origins details
You know a video game franchise has made it big when a prequel is released. Konami is doing just that with Silent Hill Origins for the PSP. Konami recently released Silent Hill Experience, a PSP-formatted graphic novel, but Origins will be the first full-fledged action game released on a portable.
Konami producer William Ortel talked briefly about the prequel at Comic-Con, but he recently gave a more lengthy, in-depth interview with Chris Remo from Shacknews.
In the interview, Ortel reveals:
- Alessa, Dahlia and Dr. Kaufmann will be in Origins;
- The game references key events from the original Silent Hill;
- There will be new areas of Silent Hill players have never seen before;
- Series composer Akira Yamaoka is doing the music for the game;
I must say, if there's one game I'm most excited about playing on the PSP, it's Origins. The Silent Hill franchise has always been incredibly freaky, and we haven't had anything like that on the PSP so far. Konami, you already have one future buyer in me.
