WEVV 44 out of Evansville, IN now broadcasting in high-def
It's nice to see more and more stations finally throwing the switch on high definition. WEVV-CBS 44 out of Evansville, Indiana is now transmitting their brand-spanking new high-def signal on 44.1. Their sister station WTSN, soon to be a MyNetwork TV affiliate, is occupying the 44.2 spot. There isn't any news for cable users though, but hopefully it will pop on the electronic programming guide sometime soon. Keep in mind that to receive these over-the-air signals, a person needs to have an ATSC tuner integrated into their TV or a set-top box with it. Many new non-HD TVs even have these TVs and chances are that if you purchased a 27-inch or large TV within the last few months, your TV has everything it needs to use an antenna to pull in these new signals.
Congrats Evansville on your newest high-def station!
