New realms online today

Whether you think new realms are sorely needed or you think they are doing nothing but contributing to the already dire population numbers on some servers, you'll be interested to know that Blizzard is bringing some new servers online today. You can have a fresh start on any of the following...

  • Echo Isles PVE
  • Blackwater Raiders RP
  • Vashj PVP
  • Darrowmere PVP

While I am not really for or against new realms, it makes me nervous opening up these realms so close to the expansion release. People are naturally going to be seeking a new beginning with the new races come Burning Crusade, so these could turn into ghost towns come expansion day with the chronic rerollers...you know...rerolling. And I am not saying everyone who rolls on these servers is of the chronic variety, but I imagine some are.

Either way, have fun if this is what you have been waiting for! And if not? Well, you can take comfort in reading the "OMG worst decision ever" threads in the forums.
