iTunes: Free Tuesday

Welcome to another free TUAW iTunes Tuesday. Each week, we set off to find the latest free deals from the iTunes stores around the world. Here is this week's collection of freebies. It went live a little late today but it's full of fresh free goodies for your collection.

US Music

US: Le Disko (Radio Edit) by Shiny Toy Guns
"Le Disko" is a track filled with so many selling points, it could very well have been concocted in a laboratory. Not to say that there's a clinical air to this tune from Shiny Toy Guns, but any track that can fuse together old school hip-hop phrasing, a pouty girl singer, post-punk rhythms, electro blips and beats, and rock 'n' roll crunch could not have been made by human hands. Could science be behind this free Single of the Week? Listen for yourself.

US: Mister Sister by The Tender Box
The Tender Box is a Mexican-American quartet based out of East L.A. who grew up on a strict diet of '80s post-punk and '90s Brit-pop. The hiccuping delivery and buzzing immediacy of those sounds can be heard all over "Mister Sister," the group's breakout tune. Picture a dance floor flooded with the songs of New Order and Franz Ferdinand, drop this tune in the middle, and watch the kids go nuts. Get it free this week on iTunes.

US TV Shows

US: Lincoln Heights (Pilot, Freepeat)
Old neighborhood. New love. Download the new ABC Family Original Series Lincoln Heights. Cassie Sutton's world is turned upside down when her father Eddie Sutton, an ambitious cop, moves their family to a tough inner-city neighborhood. Not only does Cassie have to struggle to fit in at her new school, she'll learn what it means to be a teenager growing up in a place that isn't always safe. The cast includes Russell Hornsby, Nicki Micheaux, Erica Hubbard, Mishon Ratliff, and Rhyon Brown. From the Executive Producer of Prison Break, Kevin Hooks, and the Executive Producer of Soul Food, Kathleen McGhee-Anderson.

International

Australia: Origami Tree by Dardanelles
"Origami Tree" is a track from the debut of Melbourne's dark dance floor post-punkers, Dardanelles. The group has listed its influences as everyone from Johnny Cash to Kraftwerk, from the KLF to NWA. Believe it our not, you can hear it in the music - from the rigid, yet groovy rhythm section to the raspy, honest vocals. This track whips up a whirlwind of despair to a danceable beat - what more do you need? Enjoy our free Single of the Week.

New Zealand: Origami Tree by Dardanelles

Canada: Rough Hands by Alexisonfire
This Ontario five-piece outfit hides their aggression (only slightly) behind moody piano keys and a more mid-paced melody than usual on "Rough Hands," our free Single of the Week. Singers Dallas Green and George Pettit use this swirling backdrop as a place to showcase their yin and yang vocals. The resulting track gives off an aura reminiscent of the Cure's Disintegration, but with more shrieking.

France: The Northern Territory by Alamo Race Track

UK: Not updated yet.
