Call of Duty 3 map pack downloads, then disappears

Xbox 360 owners hoping to blast through five new multiplayer maps for Call of Duty 3 have been left bitterly disappointed, with a critical issue preventing the downloadable content from appearing in the game. Naturally, most of the frustration stems from the fact that players paid 800 MS points ($10) for the Valor Map Pack, only to have it run and hide somewhere on the console's hard drive.

Major Nelson assures us that Microsoft and the developer are actively working on the problem, pointing toward this thread on the official Xbox forum as a source of progress updates (none at time of writing). Best hold off on reeling in the COD maps (OOF!) until the rather blatant issue has been resolved. Did the certification department not realize that discretion is the worst part of the Valor Map Pack? (ENOUGH!)
