The iPod Silhouettes: Before and After

The iPod silhouettes have become nearly as iconic as the iPod themselves. As we've previously noted, Apple's signature ad campaign has even spawned some unsavory copycats, which Apple has had to beat down. Now Rocket Studio, which apparently created the idea for Apple's ad agency TBWA/Chiat/Day, L.A., has posted a couple of sample before and after shots. It's neat to see what the original photos looked like before they were turned into silhouettes, and I think a kind of confirmation that the imagination can be more powerful than the eyes (i.e. I think the silhouettes look much cooler than the originals).

Note: the original site has already succumbed to the "Digg effect" so you might rather check out this coral cache mirror.
