Digital Music Group to sell video content on iTunes
Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal reports that shares of the Digital Music Group rose about 7 percent yesterday after they filed documents that revealed a three-year deal with Apple's iTunes. According to the Business Journal article, the company acquires the digital rights to music and video and resells their content to stores like iTunes, Napster, Wal-Mart Music and so forth.
Digital Music Group, if you were not aware, owns classic TV shows like "Hopalong Cassidy" and "My Favorite Martian", a show I remember with great fondness growing up but not one I think that I'd actually pay to watch again.
