Mac Users Can Now Apply for US Government Grants

Needless to say, stories of government incompetence are hardly new, but it seems particularly galling that when the federal government first set up the centralized Grants.gov website for grant applications back in 2005, it did not support Macs. It required a proprietary client, which was PC only. Now MacResearch is reporting that Uncle Sam has finally shaped up enough to offer a Mac PureEdge Viewer client (which comes in both PPC and Intel flavors). Given how many scientific Mac users there are, this is definitely good news for scientists, and I suppose getting this done in only 2 years is lightning speed by government standards.
