Tim Cook talks Apple
Apple has posted an audio webcast of Tim Cook's presentation at Tuesday's Goldman Sachs Technology Investment Symposium. Cook is Apple's chief operating officer and in this webcast he discusses the iPhone, the iPod and more. In regards to the iPhone price, he talks about how if Apple worried only about who would buy and do early adoption they'd have a big problem bringing any product to market. Cook makes it clear that there's always a progression from one product to the next and that no product represents a static end-point for the company. So the 2.5G and WiFi (and the tie to AT&T/Cingular, one presumes) represent compromise that will evolve over time.
