Finally! Downloaded PS-One titles will play on the PS3... maybe
All right, PS3Fanboy is going to kick it into high gear today in an attempt to catch up on all this fantastic Sony/PS3 news that's been clogging the internet cleaning my dishes. Well, as expected, the next time we update our firmware, the change is going to be so significant that the very earth will change the tilt of its axis and Sony will dub it version 2.0! We're getting bits and pieces of what's going to change from different places, so we'll bring them all in one-by-one, then have a comprehensive look at what's to come.
What has been confirmed by PlayThree is this: downloaded PS-One titles that were originally for the PSP only are now going to be playable right off of the PlayStation 3! That's good news for those who wanted some of those games, but didn't have a PSP. PlayThree was not able to confirm the re-launch of the Sony Connect service that would allow for music, music videos, and certain video programs. More's coming. Check back next hour.
[Thanks, bootsielon!]
