If space is such a premium that you must skimp on sound, then go 'head, be our guests and choose ASUS' PG221 as your all-in-one rig for sight and sound. Like the 19-inch PG191, the 22-inch LCD features an integrated 2.1 audio system (subwoofer tucked away in the LCD stand), a 1.3 megapixel webcam bunged into the bezel, and a snappy 2ms response which seemed happily unaffected by the Hulky booms ASUS demonstrated. "Hulk," as in the movie used for the demonstration, the sound was just average but certainly good enough for a small apartment or dorm. The PG221 brings a 1680 x 1050 resolution, 3x USB hub, 1000:1 contrast, 300cd/m2 brightness, touch-sensitive controls and a range of inputs including DVI, D-Sub, composite, S-Video, component and of course, a microphone jack for all your cross-net trash talkin' needs. No price or release date, just plenty of pics after the break.
