New, secret title headed to PS3

First, the bad news. Posession, a game of the zombie genre, has been indefintely delayed. The good news? The games developer, Blitz, has put the game in temporary limbo to make way for a top-secret next-gen game that will be headed to the PS3.

"Work on Possession is temporarily on hold, but only because we've reassigned the team to work on a major new project on PS3 and Xbox 360."

Now, what the "unnamed game" is all about is anyone's guess. The only clues we have are:

  • It is a radical departure from any of the games Blitz has developed before (probably a good thing)
  • It is being published by an as-yet-to-be announced mega-company
  • It ultilizes technology originally developed for Posession
  • Blitz will be recruiting heavily to expand the team assigned to the unnamed game

Looks like we should start scouring the game industry job boards for posts by Blitz. There are a TON of openings on Blit's own website. Anyone have any guesses here? I'm hoping for a sequel to Burger King's Sneak King.
