Apple TV sells well in Canada

MacDailyNews reports that Apple TV units are flying off the shelves in Canada. Although Canadian purchasers cannot, as yet, download TV shows or movies from the iTunes store, this hasn't deterred Canadian customers from picking up the $349 (Canadian $'s) device. Ron Paley, CEO of Toronto's Carbon Computing, says "We're selling them as fast as we get them and it will keep growing in popularity", according to the article.

Although no iTunes store yet sells high def content, many Apple TV buyers have figured out that they can pick up an inexpensive tuner for their Mac and digitize all the high def content they want. QuickTime and EyeTV both provide Apple TV-quality export now.
