Guitar Hero: Save the Seattle kittens edition
Who rocks out harder: cat people or dog people? The Seattle/King County Humane Society is looking to find out by holding a Guitar Hero inspired benefit. The event is on May 22 at Dante's in the U-district of Seattle (it's a bar so you must be over 21). The event is expected to go until 1:30 AM and starts at 7 PM for attendees, 5:30 PM for participants. Participants will need a minimum of $70 in pledges to participate and the winner receives a Guitar Hero controller autographed by the Harmonix development team. But seriously, it's Guitar Hero + booze + saving fluffy animals, gaming doesn't get more guilt free than this.
The Humane Society is also looking for tech volunteers to make sure that everything is set up properly for the benefit. The event hopes to raise $5000 -- come on gamers, we can totally blow that number out of the water! The Humane Society deserves way more than that for this simple and brilliant benefit idea.
