Internal AT&T iPhone Policies

Deep-cover TUAW operative "iPhonePhan" has uncovered an internal AT&T memo laying out some of the basic policies for the upcoming iPhone. Here's TUAW's summary of the points in this memo.

Next Friday is iDay. And AT&T is "iReady" [sic]. Employees will receive daily iReady updates as iDay approaches. Sign up for SMS iPhone updates here.

Launch logistics. The iPhone goes on sale at 6PM local time in each market on Friday June 29th. It will be sold at AT&T-owned stores, Apple stores, and online at Apple.com.

Ordering, pricing, models: No preorders. First come, first served. $499 for 4GB and $599 for 8GB models. Rate plans are yet to be shared.

No employee special rates. No employee discounts and no concession on rate plans for employees at all levels. Employees must buy the phone at the consumer price and use a regular, undiscounted, consumer-rate plan.

ERIC and JustAsk. These employee referral programs will not offer credit for iPhone handset referrals but employees will earn points for the associated calling plans. Details to follow at launch.

Thank you iPhonePhan!
