Super Smash Bros Brawl to feature fully fleshed out single player experience

Not exactly known for its single player component, Nintendo has revealed "a robust side-scrolling action game" called The Subspace Emissary for their upcoming battle royal, Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

The Subspace Emissary crafts a story that ties the mascots together with shades of Kingdom Hearts, promising an emphasis on character development with "many famous characters persevering under the weight of their personal histories [and] shouldering their unique burdens." So expect to find Samus Aran coping with being born mute, while Solid Snake continues to ponder if love can bloom on a battlefield.

From what we can gather, it looks to not only feature a cinematic slant, but the closest we'll probably get to seeing Pit in a robust, single player experience. Be sure to check out the update itself for a whole slew of new screenshots.
