Toshiba has been busy lately. The company has just launched a slew of new AMD-based Satellite laptops, and we've got the specs to prove it. First up on the block is the new P205D (pictured), a 17-inch desktop replacement, with its sights set on performance that doesn't destroy your financial standing in the community. Here's a rundown of the models:
  • P205D-S7479: AMD Turion 64 X2 2.2GHz CPU, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 graphics chipset, 802.11/a/g/n, up to 4GB of RAM, 250GB hard drive, 17-inch 1440 x 990 display, Harman Kardon speakers, $1349.99
  • P205D-S7438: AMD Athlon 64 X2 1.9GHz CPU, ATI Radeon Xpress X1200M graphics chipset, 802.11b/g, up to 4GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive, 17-inch 1440 x 990 display, $849.99
Additionally, the company has created an expansion of the A215 series, 15.4-inch laptops which include the following configurations:
  • A215-S7472: AMD Turion 64 X2 2.2GHz CPU, 802.11a/g/n, up to 4GB of RAM, 250GB hard drive, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400 GPU, embedded webcam, fingerprint reader, $1,199.99

  • A215-S7437: AMD Turion 64 X2 1.9GHz CPU, 802.11b/g, up to 4GB of RAM, 200GB hard drive, ATI Radeon X1200 GPU, $899.99

All in all, pretty middle of the road stuff. Can't say we're surprised.
