Jon Mak and the inspirations of Everyday Shooter

Unfortunately, fans of the PSN title Everyday Shooter will be disappointed to hear that the game's soundtrack is still not confirmed for release. We'll keep on bothering our friends at SCEA, but until then, here are some great recommendations from Jon Mak on the bands that inspired the sounds of Everyday Shooter. Complete list after the break.

Well, here's some of the bands/artists I remembered listening to while writing Everyday Shooter:

Stars
Slowdive
My Bloody Valentine
Death Cab for Cutie
Tortoise
Fridge
Four Tet
Broken Social Scene
Sambassadeur
The Smiths
Spiritualized
Montag
American Analog Set
Voxtrot
Primal Scream
Miles Davis at the Fillmore
Monster Movie
The Decemberists
The Smiths
Rebelski
DNTEL
I Am Robot and Proud
Steve Reich
Whatever was on SomaFM - indie pop rocks and cliq hop

And I used to be a huge New Order fan.

Of course this music influenced Everyday Shooter, I mean, aren't people generally influenced by things they like? But one thing to consider is that these guys are really good at writing music whereas I'm just some joker with a guitar ;)
