Today in Second Life there was:

• 20,241 new signups bringing the total to 10,877,766 signups.
• A peak concurrency of 53,772 at 1:45PM, and a minimum concurrency of 29,802 at 1:35AM. Median concurrency for the day was 39,640.
• The Grid Stability Index for the day was 1.61 (lower is better).
• The Lindex and land sales system gave a bit of a flutter today.
• Linden Lab clarified that they are only cracking down on sexual ageplay, not regular ageplay/child avatars and so forth.
• Moo looked at the state of the Teen Grid, through the eyes of its residents.
• Joshua Linden gave an extensive post-mortem on last week's software deployment and problems.
• Linden Lab neither confirmed nor denied that they opened an office in China, but hint that something is in the wind.
• A new release candidate (the first in the 1.18.5 series) was released with the first part of the new search interface, which revealed some interesting new web-services.
