A word on commenting from Wii Fanboy
You might have noticed the other Nintendo-based Fanboy site received a nice little update today in the way of an improved commenting system. Well, the higher-ups (see: people paid in actual money) at our company saw fit to hook us up with the new system, as well. Tis the season of giving, after all.
Of course, there is always some bugs that need to be fixed when starting something like this. And, we have our fair share of them. But, it's nothing you can't handle. In fact, when you look at it a certain way, you're kind of like the Indiana Jones of the internet blog-commenting community, finding secrets buried deep in the net where other men fear to tread. We salute you, fine reader. We salute you indeed.
Most of you probably noticed your comments look like Mr Khan's above. Here's another example of one of mine:
Not only are comments different, but for those of you who've never visited and commented on Joystiq, whom are possible for all things great and small (we have to say that, it's in our contract), then you don't know that you've got your own profile page now. To access it, all you have to do is click on the picture in the comment (you'd click on my ugly mug above to look at my page).
Once there, you'll see this:
So, for all of our new folks who want to comment, you need to:
- Go to Joystiq and leave a comment somewhere
- Receive your confirmation e-mail with password
- Follow the steps above to access your profile page, log in and set up your account
- ???
- Profit
It's just that easy! If you have any questions that can't be answered by this handy little guide, then feel free to e-mail me at david at nintendowiifanboy dawt com.
