Yesterday in Second Life, Wednesday 19 December, 2007

Yesterday in Second Life there was:

  • 20,256 new signups bringing the total to 11,503,472 signups.
  • A peak concurrency of 50,747 at 12:45PM, and a minimum concurrency of 40 at 1:30PM. Median concurrency for the day was 36,157.
  • The Grid Stability Index for the day was 22.87 (lower is better).
  • Login services for 1.18.6 failed again in the morning at 9:25AM SLT (US Pacific time) for approximately 15 minutes.
  • The asset system failed not once, but twice. No cause or reason has been given or word that the fix was more than temporary, so there's no reason not to expect the much the same again today. Emergency closures of grid logins were employed to cut down on system loads.

Below is the day's concurrency graphed for yesterday (left), and the corresponding day from the previous week (right)
