Yesterday in Second Life there was:
- 16,376 new signups bringing the total to 11,539,876 signups.
- A peak concurrency of 51,770 at 2:25PM, and a minimum concurrency of 30,104 at 1:40AM. Median concurrency for the day was 40,987.
- The Grid Stability Index for the day was 1.48 (lower is better).
- Just prior to midnight, money and asset transfers began to silently fail or to timeout.
- Colgate-Palmolive launched a brand promotion today. There was nothing for us to actually look at, except the site, so we did that.
- Second Life residents attacked Linden Lab staffers. Well, sort of.
- We announced the winners of our Second Life launch contests.
- Two new viewer releases yesterday: A Windlight viewer that fixes avatars, but with a bit of a gotcha; and a new release-candidate viewer.
- Linden Lab started a podcast series of their own, called Inside Linden Lab.
- In answering volunteer questions about Havok 4.6 yesterday, Andrew Linden mentioned new policy and plans for megaprims.
