Yesterday in Second Life there was:
18,599 new signups bringing the total to 11,836,671 signups.
A peak concurrency of 56,417 at 1:55PM, and a minimum concurrency of 32,011 at 11:50PM. Median concurrency for the day was 47,189.
The Grid Stability Index for the day was 1.78 (lower is better).
The above numbers are a bit unreliable due to faulty feeds, however they do seem to be functioning again today.
Second Life was honored at CES2008.
Linden Lab banned banks (specifically institutions that pay interest). More on that at the top of the hour.
Logins failed in the early morning, and the failure of multiple databases in the evening caused logins to be closed until repairs could be effected.
Live chat in the support system also failed and required repairs.
