Yesterday in Second Life there was:
12,103 new signups bringing the total to 11,848,774 signups.
A peak concurrency of 52,533 at 2:50PM. Median concurrency for the day was 33,241.
The Grid Stability Index for the day was 17.31 (lower is better).
The grid was shut down for a capacity update. Timestamps on the Linden blog were bungled, but it looks like the grid came live just a little after scheduled, at 12:15PM SLT.
There were problems with the grid again around 2:30PM. Later at approximately 5PM there were additional problems with the asset systems.
Philip Rosedale gave a general update about 2007, the Emmy Award, and plays going forward.
