The end of one day and the beginning of another

Yesterday in Second Life there was:

  • 16,668 new signups bringing the total to 11,966,382 signups.

  • A peak concurrency of 56,764 at 1:50PM, and a minimum concurrency of 31,145 at 1:10AM. Median concurrency for the day was 43,217.

  • The Grid Stability Index for the day was 1.40 (lower is better).

  • There was a short bout of instability around 4:30PM where many users suddenly experienced asset problems.

  • Linden Lab announced a short-notice rolling restart for Thursday to deploy new code intended to alleviate database pressure.
